Bradshaw Halloweens of Past

As I have mentioned over and over we celebrate holidays around here all month long.  In preparing for the 2015 Halloween season I enjoyed looking back on Halloweens past.  I couldn't find our family photos from every year, but I found some fun ones...

Mickey Mouse - 2010

Nook Pumpkin Patch - 2011

Toy Story Gang - 2011

Pumpkin Patch - 2012

SpooktacularThe

We kicked off October with Ethan's 7th birthday and our month full of Tricks & Treats with the annual Spooktacular at Westergard!

Our very good friends made this night extra fun for us!!  I was in trial all day and Melissa was so awesome to not only take Ethan home from school but to get him ready for the fete as well!!  Trevor met up with them and walked up to the school (where I met them later).

The pipsqueaks played rounds and rounds of put-put golf to win loads of creepy crawly candy prizes!!  And played countless rounds of BINGO...although nobody won.  Also, prior to me arriving the pipsqueaks made their way through the haunted house.

The countdown is on!  Thank you to all our friends for such a fun 2015 Spooktacular!!

Quoth the Raven...Nevermore

Ok so y'all just got a brief glimpse into our Not-So-Spooky Nook, but I have yet to show you an additional project I'm working on to add to our fun decor.

This Nevermore image is going to be framed and placed on the entryway bookshelf.  We have a happy Jack-O-Lantern and pumpkin spice candle up there now but it just needs a little something more.  I found this download here:  http://dixiedelightsonline.com/2012/10/nevermore.html

And now I think I have printouts for every holiday/season possible and I may just be out of the printing printable business!  Nevermore my friends!!

The Spooky Nook

*bwahahahaha*

I'm going to warn y'all that this year's Halloween decor is almost identical to last years!  I'm a firm believer in leaving well enough alone.

I lost my sequin banner that I made 7 years ago, so Trevor's mom bought be a really cute Happy Halloween door hang.  I wonder what the heck I did with that banner though.

My super creative and crafty sister-in-law made me this cute witch!!  She was too cute to hang on the door so I had to put her where I could enjoy her all month long!!  Thank you Tara for my witch I love her!!

The new and fun decorating this year was all out on the porch!  You'll have to stay tuned for more on that.

Happy Halloween!! - xo

7th Inning Stretch

It's hard to believe that 7 years has flown right on by and Ethan is in first grade and SEVEN YEARS OLD!!  When he told me he wanted a baseball party I set out to make sure we had the best baseball experience ever.  Since the Aces end their season in August that was out...what to do...what to do?!!  Tommy's Grandstand seemed like the best alternative.  And boy did it not disappoint!!

The kids each got tokens to bat their little hearts out.  What I didn't realize, and will not make this mistake again in the future, was that the arcade games do not take tokens they take quarters, so thank you to all the parents for supplying their littles with endless quarters!!  After they couldn't swing at another ball we had cake and opened presents.  Needless to say I think all the kids went home exhausted!!!

These kids could not have been cuter taking turns and cheering each other on while they waited their turns!

Thanks a million to all these cuties that helped celebrate my favorite, most special 7 year old!!  Love y'all!!

No Tricks Just Treats

I know it sounds trite, but how is it already October?!?!  We adore all holidays around here, Halloween is no exception and believe me we celebrate all month long!  We created a list of all the tricks and treats we want to do as we count down the days to the spookiest day of the year!!

While of course we may not get to cross everything off our list depending on schedules so far we've got planned:

boo breakfast, ghost pizza, movie night, Spooktacular, spooky s'mores, costumes, whoopee pies, BINGO, scary lunch, Happy Meals, The Pumpkin Watch, pumpkin patch, decorate, carve pumpkins, Halloween books, crafts, class treats, teacher treats, mummy dinner, spooky dinner, my sister's wedding & of course Halloween Day itself!!!

Three days down,,,28 more to go!

JV Homecoming

We spent the week preparing for the Homecoming Assembly on Friday.  We worked our little fingers to the bones hitting the stunts, jumps and tumbling.  Marking formation change after formation change so that Friday would be perfect!!  Thursday was our final run-through...in the pouring rain!!  Thankfully we had an indoor practice space in between volleyball games!  Just when we thought there may be a break in the storm we determined there would be no cheering at the JV Homecoming game this year.  These girls that I have the privilege of coaching are die-hard, they wanted to cheer...but for safety reasons I had to call it.  Girls, I hope you know how proud I am of you!!

Just so you get a feel for how hard it rained Thursday!  (photo credit:  KRNV News 4)

I couldn't be more thankful for getting to coach the JV cheerleaders this year!  They rocked it at the assembly on Friday by the way!!
