Six More Weeks of Winter

In the Bradshaw Nook we have been known to subscribe to the psychic weather prediction of that cute little Pennsylvanian rodent, Punxsutawney Phil. Although I am fairly certain that he has seen his shadow every winter for the last 30 years (I'm exaggerating...I don't really know his rate of accuracy), we enjoy waiting for him to give us the good or bad news. I had my fingers crossed that Spring was on it way and we would be done with our very depressing yet mild winter, but that sneaky little groundhog saw his shadow, so, 6 more weeks it is.

I had intended to do a fun Groundhog themed breakfast for the pipsqueaks this morning, but I just didn't pull it together so I made cookies instead. They didn't quite turn out as cute as the inspiration I found for them, but the kids loved them nonetheless. The ones pictured are from none other than my favorite blog Dixie Delights.

On another note Ethan's 100th day of school is Wednesday!! We spent our afternoon sticking 100 bandaids onto a poster board for his class project! He did such a good job and did not argue once about having to do his homework. Progress!!

It's now time to snuggle up in bed...and pray that just maybe little Phil predicted wrong!!

Daxton's Very Happy 1st Birthday

Yesterday was Daxton's first birthday! It's so hard to believe that a year has already gone by!!

All of our friends and family joined us for a football themed party just hours before the Super Bowl.

We ate super yummy cake and had to take a bath in the sink!!

It was a gloriously fun day! We are so excited to be starting on our second year with this little pipsqueak, he is one of the little loves of my life!
