Mommy Ramblings: Stories To Tell

I read a lot of blogs, books, news, etc. and there have been several articles over time about internet security. Some of the blogs I love don't even reveal the real names of the people they write about. The topic ebbs and flows, and for the most part I agree. Although when I started this blog I did not even think about it to be honest, thus my children's names, my husband's name, my friends and other family members' names are out there in the blogosphere for everyone to read.

This rambling is about our stories.

I haven't written much lately because so much has happened to our little family over the past month. I struggled with whether or not I should journal all the things going on, post them to the blog or just work through it all amongst ourselves. It was a decision as to let the stories be shared at a later date or let the kids decide if in the future they wanted these moments out there.

But if I wait to let others make that decision where would all the stories go? When did we release the power of our stories over to someone elses feeling?

I'm not talking about airing dirty laundry for shock or revenge. I'm definitely not talking about intentionally hurting others or embarrassing them...just our everyday stories, marriage, parenting, the good times and bad. And how sometimes we all want to run away from our lives.

So hopefully in the upcoming weeks/months more of our everyday life stories will be shared, not just the picturesque happy fun times. Because though I try to make a fun, picture perfect life for myself and my family that is not reality. And let me just say reality has hit us all really hard in the past 2 months.

Potential Nook Excitement

So we may or may not be looking at new homes and I couldn't be more excited!! House hunting is stressful and thrilling all at the same time. I can't wait to find a home that completes our personal vision of a home - an elegant home that transcends the times! Whether we move or not I truly can't wait to continue to design the house of my dreams...a constant project that shifts as our tastes evolve.

The Bradshaw Nook will be both comforting and inspiring!!!

Snapshot of Ethan's Lego Extravaganza

Planning this party was as fun as attending it. I think entertaining is in my blood.

Ethan turned six (yes I said six) a few weeks back but we had his party this past weekend. Just a little backyard Lego Extravaganza! We had so much fun with Bricks 4 Kidz and building our own Lego people and racing our Lego drag racers.

Definitely a fun, laid back party to celebrate a very special six year old.
